Pastor Simpson, or Dr. Simpson was called upon the Lord to the ministry at 16 years old. Knowing this was one thing, however answering the call whole-heartedly was more like second nature. When you are walking in alignment with what God has for you it may feel difficult at times, because the tricks of the enemy never cease.

With a background in Health Care, and a doctorate in Health Administration Pastor Simpson is an avid ally of assisting individuals to reach their educational goals, not only in the secular world, but also with the lord. Educating Gods people with bible studies, sunday school classes, creating teaching guides even creating a course called 'bible 101' Pastor Simpson is here to help His people to learn and understand, from Biblically-based teaching, for themselves.

As the congregation of Refuge Temple of Prayer, we strive to expand and share our knowledge of the Word of God. We are gathering the lost and making disciples on our journey. To feed the hungry; to clothe the naked; to love our neighbor as ourselves; to further the Kingdom of God.

Who are we?
Refuge Temple of Prayer is a congregation of sinners saved by grace studying the Word of God, perfecting our knowledge in order to disseminate that information to the lost. We believe that God is our Father; Jesus is our Savior who came to earth and died for the redemption of mankind; that the Holy Spirit is the Helper sent by the Father who teaches us all things and brings to our remembrance those things taught in the Holy Scriptures.
The congregation's men are responsible for teaching the younger men to be leaders in the community, maintaining dignity remembering who they represent. In addition, women of the congregation are responsible for leading the younger women in the congregation to be reverent in behavior.
1 But as for you, speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine: 2 that the older men be sober, reverent, temperate, sound in faith, in love, in patience; 3 the older women likewise, that they are reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things— 4 that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.

Who are we trying to reach?
Refuge Temple of Prayer is trying to reach those that have not experienced the saving grace of God. Not only to teach and preach the Good News but to make disciples of those that receive Christ. We meet as often as necessary to study the Word of God.
What is our purpose?
Our purpose is to win souls to Christ by meeting their physical and spiritual needs
